Food was spectacular - order the butter chicken - it's amazing!
by Aleurophile on 02 December 2017
We've been looking for a good Indian close at hand for sometime and this is it.
Delicious food and some unusual dishes, venison and soft shell crab among the starters were very tasty. Prosecco by the glass and good expresso coffee all helping to cater for modern tastes.

First time at the Namaaste Kitchen and a very nice experience it was . Well with a visit using the 25% open table discount
by garlicman on 04 November 2017
Well spiced curries and some more unusual items on the extensive menu although the venison starter was a little disappointing- not enough meat in the mixture and a little bland. Good deal with the early evening discount. Plenty of vegetarian options. The veg biriani was very tasty.
by SiddS on 27 October 2017
Soft shell crab good. Aubergine poor
by RubyKent on 26 October 2017
Dined with our daughter. Made to feel welcome upon arrival by all the staff. Menu is out of the ordinary run of the mill. Imaginative starters. We all ordered something different tasted each others and agreed they were good. Main courses we shared along with side dishes and again they were tasty. Would definitely return.
by NatalieandFabrice on 24 October 2017
Very friendly service and amazing food! Will definitely try to come back next time we are in London. Already recommended to friends!
by OpenTable Diner on 21 October 2017
The food was excellent, and plentiful!
Strangely, when we rang to reserve a table they said they had none until 9pm.
However, when I used the Trip Advisor app, I got a table for 7.30pm.
I'd have no problem recommending it to anyone.
by OpenTable Diner on 10 October 2017
Top-notch Indian food - absolutely delicious, fresh, spicy, varied - with friendly and efficient service in smart surroundings. Good-sized servings - I'm glad we didn't order the side dishes we were eyeing. Beautiful presentation without being overly fussy. Convenient for Camden Town tube.
by AlphaDelta on 10 October 2017
I went to Namastee Kitchen for a second date. I'd never eaten there before and my date was of Indian origin so it was a double gamble. Thankfully it paid off. The welcome and service were warm and attentive without being intrusive. The lighting and noise levels were suitable for quiet conversation without having to raise voices or strain t be heard. The food was great - something different from what I've eaten at a lot of south Asian places. And it's only a few minutes' walk from Camden Town Tube station and easy to find.
My only criticism would be that the tables were quite close together. There was nobody next to us but if there had been it might have felt noisier or more crowded.

Overall experience with the food and ambience was good. AC was blowing directly on to us but was addressed once we pointed it out.

Had a lovely evening with my wife and daughter celebrating my wife's birthday.
Good food, good service, friendly staff, fairly priced. Will definitely be going again.
by OpenTable Diner on 22 September 2017
We were a large group of work colleagues (17) going out. The food was very excellent and appreciated by everyone. The service was a bit slow at time - we had to ask many times for the items we required. The atmosphere is ok but not much atmosphere really.
by OpenTable Diner on 09 September 2017
Really nice experience and the variety of menu choice was great as I had not heard of baby of the dishes however all was explained if needed
by OpenTable Diner on 02 September 2017
Was in Camden for a gig and revisited this lovely Indian restaurant. I had been a couple of years ago and my return visit did not disappoint.
A venison kebab starter followed by Mongolian chicken and a garlic naan was spot on.
Friendly and attentive service and a great atmosphere.
I'll be back
by Brumz on 26 August 2017
Nice food, service was a bit slow however. But I also point out that this was a saturday evening, everywhere is busy! We were also a group of 9 so it will take longer.
But we did enjoy the food and pleasant service.

Amazing good - fresh, innovative & a food lovers dream - great service, friendly & attentive the onion bhajis are to die for !!
by OpenTable Diner on 07 August 2017
Good Indian food, lot of choice, spicy, but not too spicy. I had a very nice curry, enjoyed it. Service was friendly. I ate here with my daughter, the food was good for her as well, enough choice of less and more spicy dishes.
by Adkt on 28 July 2017
Very good evening meal. Attentive service. Innovative menu and well presented.
by TheBlueberryKid on 22 July 2017
A cut above your average Indian and conveniently located close to Camden Town tube.
Ambience was lacking as we were the first customers, but staff were friendly, menu well-judged with a mixture of classic Indian dishes and more experimental offerings, and the food itself was delicious.
There was a slight misunderstanding around the special offers for OpenTable customers. 30% off a la carte menu requires you to order a starter and a main which we duly did, but when the bill came the discount wasn't applied since apparently I had opted into the tasting menu offer when making the booking (I don't recall being given the option). Manager was polite and refunded us the difference.
All in all, I shall definitely go back and recommend to friends.
by OpenTable Diner on 06 July 2017
Started off well then went downhill rapidly. The starter I wanted wasn't available and no alternative was offered. Everyone else's starters took 40 minutes to arrive and the mains took 1 hour 20 minutes. We had to ask 3 times for our drinks order and the staff had walked past 3 or 4 times without acknowledging us. We were offered 30% off by Open Table for booking with them and we were told we all had to order starters and mains to qualify for the offer. Only after arguing for several minutes and reminding them again and again that we had attempted to order starters and they were the ones that didn't have them available did they agree to honour the discount. This is a nice restaurant let down by the staff and I would not return due to the slow service and lack of understanding shown when trying to back down from a discount that we had attempted to comply with the terms and conditions of.

Namaste was as ever consistently good. Excellent value with 30% off from Open Table. Courteous and attentive service. A lovely experience.
by OpenTable Diner on 17 June 2017
Food was lovely, but one thing this restaurant really needs to improve is the service..... you need to have patience that's all I'm going say.
by OpenTable Diner on 20 May 2017
Amazing food. Fantastic service. You have to definitely book in advance if you don't want to be disappointed.
by KathyMavorneen on 18 May 2017
Wonderful meal which offers something that little bit special than usual Indian restaurants. The waiters and manager were very welcoming and friendly, quick to remedy any mistakes and keen to make it it a good experience. My dhansak was to die for and I'm also glad we had starters as they were really impressive. Thanks to Namaste for helping me make my husband's birthday special
by Hanw on 05 May 2017
Fine spot to grab a quick bite!Bit pricey for what it is - food was nice enough, but not amazing (I had vege options, think my friend more impressed with his meat options). Service inattentive on drinks, then when we got his attention he only asked my friend what he wanted and ignored me! Similarly when I asked if my water could be refilled they only refilled my glass and left my friends empty glass ignored. No big issues, just not great.
by OpenTable Diner on 01 April 2017
Food was good ,service was shocking sorry namaaste..but keep having to ask for service and waiting over 20mins for just the drinks is not great..if you want to go i would advise prob not on a weekend night 😑
by OpenTable Diner on 17 March 2017
One of the best curries I've ever had
& that's quite a statement as it's my favourite food & have eaten at curry restaurants all round the world.
A fantastic meal.
by OpenTable Diner on 12 March 2017
We wanted to go to a indian restaurant in camden and found this one online. The food was not really indian taste even that we ordered chicken tikka and the place was empty. The service was ok but one of the waiters he was rushing everything. I wouldn't recommend this place there are plenty of good indian restaurants in London and this isn't one of them
by OpenTable Diner on 11 March 2017
Fantastic food, service and modern decoration of restaurant!

happy with the overall experience.

by MaryLD on 17 February 2017
Starters were really good but was a little disappointed with ,y choice of main. The curry was a little too sweet for my liking but everyone else in my party enjoyed the mains. The 20% off food offer was definitely appreciated as the bill including drinks was quite high. Overall a good dining experience.
by OpenTable Diner on 12 February 2017
Best restaurant in Camden!!!
by OpenTable Diner on 09 February 2017
Though the food is alright I was very disappointed by the lack of professionalism at this restaurant. I came across the listing on OpenTable and made a reservation which showed me a special 20% off discount food only if a main and starter are ordered. Upon arrival the server notified me their computer was down so no reservations show and I handed her my phone to confirm a reservation was made on my end which she accepted.
The lack of music created an awkward atmosphere and when the bill was presented at the end my friend and I asked for the discount to be applied as we had ordered accordingly. After what was a five minute back and forth talk with the server and store manager who refused to honor the discount code we left after paying.
As a hospitality professional it doesn't take much to respect your customers and honor a discount that is available online. The reason they wouldn't accept the code was because we had ordered two starters and a main, and they insisted the code implies a starter and main for each.
Moving forward, please be more explicit in coupon codes with OpenTable and if there's still misunderstanding then honouring your customer with a complimentary treat or discount is not a lot to expect.

Not our first visit and won't be our last. Very enjoyable. Cobra was cold, the food was hot and oh so flavoursome. Really rich but not oily (not swimming in ghee) and tasty. Friendly and welcoming staff. And a surprise candle in refreshing sorbet for the birthday girl.
by DavidCamden on 21 January 2017
Was for birthday was which mentioned to the restaurant but nothing said to me
Felt the service was rushed and not personal at all
Won't go back in a hurry

Very nice evening but unfortunately I was unwell for 24+ hrs after dining
by Jackie on 31 December 2016
We went on New Year's Eve and the restaurant was full and the waiters very busy so we could excuse the rather slow service. They were polite and friendly. There was a special New Year's Eve menu so choices were limited. The starters were excellent - a good selection of meat and vegetarian - , but the main course a bit disappointing - plenty of it, but too much sauce, and only a small portion of rice and accompanying vegetables.
by Min78 on 31 December 2016
Shocking service. I understand it was New Year's Eve but we were only offered set menu at 49.99 each yet other dinners were eating from al a carte menu?! Also took 20 mins to take order 20 mins to bring drinks very very slow even though it was a set menu, so confusing. Food was sub standard and actually made my partner feel a little sick but Mangement not interested. So we left without desert and just about made New Years celebration even though we were there from 8:15 yeah go figure. Terrible experience especially on nye will never go back and will warn others not to. :(
by OpenTable Diner on 25 December 2016
So this place.....To start with the obvious the food was good. Not amazing but definitely a good meal. That's where the positives end. The place is drafty and extremely cold, there are fruit flies/gnats flying everywhere, and the way they price food is very deceptive. Whatever you do, do not assume anything is provided (this goes double true for any bread). Everything costs. A bottle of water is 7.50 pounds and tap is not an option.
by OpenTable Diner on 25 December 2016
Celebrated Christmas with dinner here. Wonderful food, artistic, good service overall. Minor complaint they had trouble getting our dessert to us. I think they got a bit overwhelmed near the end of the evening. Would recommend and visit again.
by OpenTable Diner on 25 December 2016
I was met by friendly and attentive staff who took my order after answering my enquiries and delivered what I had ordered in reasonable time. The description of the kebab could have been more accurate but this did not detract from its quality. The Christmas menu was pressed and the a la carte not offered. I was not pressured to leave and enjoyed the warm atmosphere at leisure. I would recommend my friends to this establishment.

good food presented well

I had the most horrifying experience using the Open Table gift card my work colleagues gave me at Namaaste Kitchen. I used the Open Table website to activate the gift card and made my reservation for lunch with my family. I even left specific instructions in the reservation form that I will be using my Open Table gift card. On the day itself, my family and I showed up and had lunch at Namaaste Kitchen. When we first arrived, I mentioned to the waitress that I will be using my Open Table gift card to pay for the meal. She said it was fine. After we had lunch, when I was going to pay the bill, the Manager on duty informed me that Open Table gift cards are not valid and that the restaurant doesn't accept it. I showed him that the giftcard is specifically for Namaaste Kitchen but he refused to accept it. We had a heated exchange and he kept insisting there is no such arrangement. He then rang Open Table to confirm. He told me that I will have to pay my bill and contact Open Table separately for a refund on the gift card. I paid the £88 lunch out of my own pocket and subsequently emailed Open Table's diner support about the useless gift card. That was on 10th December. Since then, Open Table has been non responsive about this issue. Please DO NOT buy an Open Table gift card. It is a scam.
